Leading international classical singer Katherine Jenkins is tipping next weekend’s engage Super League Millennium Magic event to be a big success for the city of Cardiff.

On the weekend of 3 and 4 May, all six fixtures from Round 13 of Rugby League’s engage Super League will be played at Cardiff’s Millennium Stadium with three games played each day.

Thousands of supporters are expected to travel to the Welsh capital to see what will be a carnival of sport.

However, the six game spectacular of Rugby League isn’t the only big event that will be happening in Cardiff over the bank holiday weekend.

On Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday Katherine’s sell-out Viva La Diva tour together with Darcey Bussell arrives at Cardiff’s International Arena.

Katherine Jenkins said: “Having performed at the Millennium Stadium for Rugby League fans ahead of the 2005 Challenge Cup Final I know what a fantastic atmosphere they will create over the weekend.

“It’s promising to a big weekend for Cardiff with the rugby and the concerts and I’m sure all visitors to the city will find it a wonderful experience.”

The weekend promises to be a busy weekend for Warrington Wolves owner Simon Moran. As well as watching his side play Huddersfield Giants on Saturday he is also acting as concert promoter for the Viva La Diva tour.
