As for the Brough scenario I just don't know what to believe and I'll just wait and see. It's been on the BBc news that we are in talks but weren't we last season too and nothing came of it??

Yes, the Brough thread has turned into a fiaso, but apart from that posts have, on the whole, been quite reasonable.

There's been the same 3 mods for some time now.

3, no more than 4, locked topics in 2010.

There's bound to be disagreement and the occasional outburst when fans from all clubs can post. However, having said all that, I'm no way condoning what's going on in the Brough thread.

Talks have broken down due to Wakey's silly demands which we won't agree to. So for now at least he's still a Wakey player. Next season may be a different story though when he comes out of contract.

It seems to me Wakie have their head in the clouds. Why would we pay more for a player this year than last when he is a free agent at the end of the season!

We are effectively buying his contract for 24 rounds of SL for this year...and each week that passes is one week less.

Wakie seem to be the ones shouting from the roof tops that we are keen and want him etc. etc. when in actual fact if you read between the lines they are the ones desparate to make some money on the back of his sale. We, so far as I see it, hold the upper hand. We are not desparate for him to come as we have a half back partnership already. I cannot see a massive queue of teams clambering to sign him can you?? I for one am not too bothered if we sign him or not as I fear his discipline could cause issues within the club but I will live with whatever decision the club make as they call the shots.

The days of signing super stars on massive transfer fees are gone.

I don't think his defence is too bad to be honest. Seen him chase down a few people and tackle them before. Whether he was the reason for the break or not though i'm not sure.

I don't think NB will put up with him lying around the ruck and not making much effort to get into marker.Also the grabbing efforts in the tackle.

That was what he was doing at Belle Vue the other week,which is what I am basing my current opinion on.

Though no doubt our coaching staff would sort this out,otherwise I don't think they'd want him.With that in mind I'd be happy if we got him,because there's no doubt his attack and kicking game is right up there.

Is this definite?? I would be very disappointed to lose Danny K as pre injury he showed lots of promise. If, however, his injury is at a high risk of recurring perhaps we are offloading him while we can?? Just speaking off the top of my head.

Still cannot understand why Danny Brough....dont like him as a player, he seems to have left every club he has played for under a cloud of "trouble" allegedly...still NB must know what he is doing.

I was rather hoping the deal, if it had to be done at all, would be cash (perhaps a £5) and for Wakey to get Korki permanently (he is still on loan isnt he),.

I'll be able to live with DK if It's only for a loan season, We have a surplus of players in his positions at the moment, But long term he is very much a keep player. All I can say is that if this deal goes through, then someone at the Giants wants him pretty bad to buy him mid season with the team going so well, You have to assume whoever it is , It is with the nod from N Brown, maybe It's him doing the wanting.
I rate D Brough as the best SH in Superleague Playing Wise, He has a great kicking game ( something we are very lacking in most games) he has strength and pace, and a superb pass. I have already said i would prefer to have him off season, Give him chance to learn the ropes, and sort out his attitude ( if It's as bad as rumored ).
End of day If he comes (who knows) N Brown will be happy with it, or we wouldn't even be speculating, After what he's done with the team I trust his judgment, I also think that he would soon be gone if he didn't toe the line, NB doesn't strike me as being someone you could mess about.

Danny deserves a medal for taking on that job. Glad it would only be a loan as I really rate him. Lets hope we don't get too many injured players in his position. Although I guess Faiumu will now play even more in the back row.

Its a done deal DB is a Giants player,DK on loan at wakey for this year and korki is there player now aswell.
