| The fans were as much to blame for that performance today. I've had more noise out of my gran's back passage. A one off occassion, at the home of the Challenge Cup..the FA cup and the world cup 66 and the Giants supporters went missing. Just proves to me that we are not a Rugby League town....CRAP! | |

| I'm proud that the guys got us there and gave it a go, we know we can play alot better, but the best team won today. Like Anwar said... the crowd really let the boys down today, only cheering for tries and not to support and encourage for the whole 80mins the saints fans were making more of an effort on our behalf. A few of us gave it a good go tho... n' annoyed a fair few speccies just for cheering and singing for our team. Mooooo | |

| It was such a huge disappointment. We froze. Yes the fans were subdued, but they had little to cheer about. Also the huge empty seats in our section was not good. How the hell can we not sell those tickets? But then again there was no real Wembley buzz in and around town unlike Warrington and perhaps the difference in build up was part of the reason Warrington came out all guns blazing and we were startled rabbits.
Lets hope the players take their disappointment out on Celtic and run up a cricket score.

| I was disappointed with the result (naturally) and quite cross to start after the morning I had had (long story) but on reflection I am still proud we got to Wembley. I went to Twickenham but Wembley was better. At least I saw the claret and gold take to the field there. They didnt step up yesterday and for me there was only 3 or 4 players who really shined.
Wire had all our moves covered and we had no plan B. We were startled by the occasion and to be fair had a couple of decisions go against us.
The effort they put in to get there was superb and I applaud them for that but to get to the final you always have to put up the effort and play at your best to be in with a chance to go to the final and win. When you get to the final its game on and there has to be a loser. If we are to be a great team we will need to deal with this kind of disappointment on a more regular basis. Just because we get to the final doesnt mean we will win, we have to earn that win. Wire had what was needed on the day, we didnt. They may not make the play offs, we will.
The players will be hurting as much as us I am sure but yesterday is now history and we need to move on and concentrate on the play offs.

Lets hope the players take their disappointment out on Celtic and run up a cricket score. I agree with all of that, Warrington took a lot more fans than we did and made a lot more noise, It was almost as though the cup had their name on it from the start. I suggested a while ago that Huddersfield may never again be a rugby town, and It's days like yesterday that seem to confirm it, anyway well done to all who went. As far as the game went we were basically beaton at our own game, our big guns never fired in the forwards and were outplayed by Wolves, for that reason (as is always the case) the halves were nowhere to be seen, they were much better in the pack, and the way they were pressuring our kicks, compared to the amount of time Briers had was pretty obvious, All in all we got what we deserved, I just hope we dont collapse now for the rest of the season, I think a lot of season tickets will now be riding on a good show in the playoffs

| I think a big problem aswell was the fact that alot of people I spoke to face to face in the week leading up to the final were so sure we were going to win, they couldn't conceive the fact that Warrington might just have something to say about that. Maybe next time we make a final, we can be a bit more humble (I'm not referring to the posters on this board, because I know most of you are fair and not cocky) but we have to show a bit more respect to the opposition.
I think we'll be a better team for this experience.

| to be honest i was dissapointed with the effort, both players and fans, Huddersfield Giants need a song, a song that when heard by the players it gives them a lift and makes them want to win the game for their fans aswell as them, we just dont get behind our squad enough, the players did well to get us their cant take that away from them, hope we can prove we are a top club in the play-offs | |

| I'm forever blowing bubbles, pretty bubbles in the air, they fly so high, nearly reach the sky then like my dreams they fade and die. Fortunes always hiding, I've looked everywhere, I'm forever blowing bubbles, pretty bubbles in the air!
FARTOWN "clap clap clap" FARTOWN "clap clap clap" FARTOWN "clap clap clap"

| yea it is the song of my footie team....it sums them up and to be fair the giants aswell, but when you have a good number of people singing it then it doesn't seem like a downbeat song, more a call to arms and something that bonds you together.
let's be fair our dreams did fade and die on Saturday, but we keep the faith and stay loyal regardless...that's what we are! Go on let's give it a go!

| well its what we need, Whino's sing my beloved marching on together, and that sure does lift leeds unted, winning or loosing so why cant im 'forever blowing bubbles' lift the giants
i think it is worth a go, once the word spreads everyone will sing it, and could well be the 'new' song of the huddersfield giants aswell as west ham

I've seen other teams talking about using it too, like Cas if I remember correctly but so far they haven't. If we can make it our own it will be like our very own Old Faithful, which is a great crowd song by the way. Like you said marching on togeher is another example of a song helping motivate a team.

| well i have been thinking for a whle that we need one, (but thought no, is only my teenage mind,) but then at wembley i was a bit dissapointed that there wasnt much singing from all the fans, so thought i would bring it up on the forum, i think it is a great song, not hard to learn, and it is a great motivation when heard, because it does have a link to the giants, So all we need now is for most people to agree, and to get singing it. | |
