We have signed Keith Mason till 2011.
I am not sure if a good signing, he can have some good and bad games, only time will tell.

Hmmmm, a tough one this.

He is a good prop but not great. Well saying that sometimes he has amazing games, other times he is a bit quiet.
Depending on what he has cost, then i would say that alone determines this extension. If he has cost a small fortune then i doubt in my mind he is worth it. But, if he hasnt then yes - a decent signing.

I agree guys. Again, maybe Nathan Browns coaching may help him.

I'm so so on this. At 26 though for a forward he's probably coming into his prime now so we should see his best rugby over the next few years.

I would have preferred to have seen a shorter contract, It's not as though clubs would have been queuing up to sign him IMO, and he is very hit and miss at times, he is now in the comfort zone, but maybe the new man will be able to change things , although things seem to be picking up already in general.

In the past he has tended to cost few penalties, I don`t know how he went at Wigan, but his discipline at the Warrington game was really good, I think he only gave one penalty away late in the game and ran the ball in strongly. And as Ponner alluded to above a props best years generally are between 26 - 30. If the new coach can keep him in check penalty wise it will be a good signing.
