| If we were to remain top right to the end of the season and pick up the shield,do you fellow Fartowners consider that it would be a successful season, even if we were to lose out in the 2 knock out comps?
Last time we finished top of the RL ladder was 1931/32 season.

| Yes. Would rather win one of the other 2 trophies but silverware is silverware and people may finally take us seriously. Everyone recognised wire as best team in the league last year off the back of them winning it. Seriously hacked off with sky and BBC whilst in the point, watched superleague full time and superleague show. All banging on about Leeds out if sorts/injuries etc. No big deal about us getting back to top of league after beating last years champions on their own patch. They all just expect we are going to fade and fail, really hacks me off. Any silverware may start to put a stop to that. | |

| After 80 long years I would be pleased as punch if we took out the hub cap.Anything else would be a bonus from my own pov.
The Leeds player missing who might have made the biggest difference was Burrow,he of course plays out of dh now like Robbo, but is not as skillful. In NB's reign we have always contained Burrow.McGuire admit is always a dangerous opponent if given the space.Bailey no doubt would have started a brawl.Bet they never mentioned our main playmaker Kev was missing.
Wasn't impressed with the new slimline Griffo,we easily contained him,in fact most of the time hardly realised he was on the pitch. That slim & more mobile role didn't seem to suit him.
Last time we beat Leeds in consecutive games at Headingley was 1948 I believe,in the league and then the qf of the challenge cup same season,so the TV numpties can say what they like.

Most definitely. In fact I'd say we can have a successful season without winning the hub cap. Suppose we ended up second, behind the leaders only on points difference, went to Wembley only to lose to a last minute drop goal, then the same at Old Trafford. Apart from the obvious disappointment, when that has subsided, would you look back at the season and think it successful? I would. But, here's hoping we do bring back a trophy, all three in fact.
