| So what do we think about this match?
Personally it will be a shock after last week. You couldn't get more polar opposites. We will need to understand we can't score off every set against one of the best sides. Although it shouldn't mean we go into it with a mindset of safety first. I think Brown will get them to chance their arm a bit, but at the same time we need to defend like the Fartown of old. No-one should be missing tackles, everyone helping out, get back in the line as quick as possible and move off the mark quickly. I expect Nathan will make one or two changes for this fixture as players return and the video analysis shows some played better than others.
Also with the earlier kick off time I won't make the start, does anyone know how long after KO the turnstiles close?

- The Huddersfield Giants return to the Galpharm for the second time in a week when they take on Warrington Wolves this Saturday Kick Off 4.45pm. The anticipation is at fever pitch as the Claret and Gold go head to head with last year’s League Leaders Shield Winners.
The Huddersfield Giants 19 man squad is as follows;
Scott Grix (1) Michael Lawrence (2) Leroy Cudjoe (3) Lee Gilmour (4) Jermaine McGillvary (5) Kevin Brown (6) Danny Brough (7) Eorl Crabtree ( Luke Robinson (9) Keith Mason (10) David Faiumu (13) Dale Ferguson (16) Joe Wardle (17) Jason Chan (18) Tommy Lee (19) Luke George (20) Jacob Fairbank (23) Adam Walker (24) Greg Eden (29)
Referee: Phil Bentham Video Referee Ian Smith The Huddersfield Giants will be wearing their principal kit I'd like to have seen Larne make the game but I imagine the virus has taken a bit out of him. Still, it's a strong squad to choose from and we'll get the chance to see if our young forwards are up to the challenge.

| The Wolves games seem to go one of two ways as a rule, They either give us a right Tonking or we match them up front and come out on top, They will have a much more experienced side out than us by and large but i have the feeling our backs can keep them closed down pretty well. I wouldn't change a right lot, If Grix is going to be SO there is nothing to be gained by moving him, K Brown did ok last week and we have Eden and Murphy for fullback,I would have liked to have seen Lunt in there. I'm not expecting to win but I'm not expecting a tonking either, Pity It's on TV that will probably effect the crowd. | |

| I think this will be a tight one. Could even depend on how Bentham refs it ie. who gets the 50 - 50 calls. Also Smith on the video doesn't inspire me with confidence either. After seeing the performance at the DW though I am hopeful we can win this one. I wouldn't have given us a chance a week before the season started, so that's a real testament to the lads' collective attitude. | |

| After our blistering attack last week I've a feeling Warrington (Tony Smith) will have their outside backs up very quick, trying to force us down the middle. Then we have not got to panic in midfield and start taking wrong options or fumbling. The kicking game is going to be vital, if they are rushing up a good tactic would be to kick behind their line.If we can match them up front (difficult) then with the superb attacking structures we saw last week we can cause any side problems on the edges.
My apologies to NB,I was thinking he could not coach attack, but he has proved me wrong,Putting Grix to 6 has been a great move,he has looked a class pivot already, and as I said the structure is sound around him,the decoys and ball carriers all know their roles.Plenty of options.
Hope it's not a case of 'after the lord mayors show' of last week. Our forwards are in for a much tougher battle than last week.Hope they can step up.Leaving Lunt out does suprise me,after he broke the game open for 2 tries at Wigan. Those efforts from SL in effect won us the game.

Good post mate, would agree with most of that, especially S Lunt.

Good post mate, would agree with most of that, especially S Lunt. Just hope Lunt has not had a setback from his groin problem of last year. After he set those 2 tries up for Patrick at Wigan I could not believe he was left out v Widnes.Could understand having Lee as back up to Kevin Brown at 13 though,so let's hope it was just a tactical move from NB.Lunt is the type of player who can get the team going forward when the rest of the pack look like they are being pushed onto the back foot. As for today,we know T.Smith is a top tactition (sp),able to think up a gameplan against a side who have altered their own style of play and have had success with it (like us) He did the same in the Wembley final, when the roles were opposite of what we may see today.Back then we had a condensed defence so the had Warrington going to the edges quick and putting kicks in to go around us. Maybe NB will do something a bit different today and try and outfox Smith. Not long to wait until we find out now.

| A very close game that could have gone our way if we hadn't bombed a chance at 22 - 26. Still we gave away too many penalties and let Bentham's odd decisions get to us. The players must remember they can't control the ref by complaining. Look at the Wire players, they played the ref so well, they milked him so much. We need to learn from that. | |

| I was quite happy with our performance and there was nothing between the the two sides. For me it was a game where the ref decided the outcome with some blatant forward passes missed at crucial times that resulted in tries. On another day that could have been a Giants win. | |

| Robbo looked really dangerous at acting half back in this game. If we had played Lunt too that could've been a game breaker. The way Lunty shot through the markers at the DW we could've really capitalised on some poor Wire marker defence.
Looks like defleppard called it dead on imo.

| Thought brown did the right thing sticking with Fairbank and walker last night as players ought to keep their places based upon performance in this team this year. What happened to Fergie last night? Did he go off at dome point because I hardly noticed him. I think walker ferguson and Lee may well have to give way next week based upon performance. Mason, Lunt and Patrick for me in their place. Bob Fairbank did not look out of place again.
Would have been our game with a different bounce of the ball, quite encouraged last night.

| Not all that bad a performance really, Not that much between the sides, Our Forwards didn't get in their faces quick enough and tended to wait for the a bit, That said we were by no means outclassed though i have to say wolves were that bit better, Running at our line they looked like we did running at Widnes's line, Very early days yet but so far I'm encouraged, Not sure about Grix at all, but needs a chance. | |

Did anyone else notice a friendly chat between Briers and Bentham after one of Lee's conversions. Briers even tapped Phil on his bum. Now I don't believe Bentham and Briers have cooked up some cheating between them, but when they are so clearly friends, surely there will always be some benefit of the doubt given in favour of Lee and this almost certainly subconscious. Oh yes, we all saw that one mate. The old pals act was plain for all to see. When Briers slapped Bentham's bum after their little tete-a-tete post conversion I was left once again wondering if the RFL has any self-awareness at all.

| The standard of reffing in League is atrocious, It was demonstrated again tonight by Silverwood and there is little chance of it improving, That said we should not get convinced that the ref cost us the game, Remember Lee should have been off the field and if Robbo had not put a high one in on the first tackle of the match, they would have not scored that first try and if Wardle ( i think ) had not reefed the ball out and just tackled Westwood, they would not have had that try either, We are getting a faster brand of football but some of the players need to learn a smarter one as well.
I am not defending the Reff's because i think that along with Sky's main commentary team they are the worst thing about the game, but i do think they are bad for everyone and not just us.

| Only ourselves to blame for losing that game.We had 2 great and 1 good opportunities in the 2nd half at 22-26.All 3 was when the ball was getting spun out from right to left. The good one was when Grix for some reason stepped back inside instead of getting it out wide.1st great was when KB fumbled a Grix pass (before re-gathering) when quick ball to the edge would have meant there was a clear overlap on,and the 2nd great one when KB tried the cut out pass to Luke G,instead of putting Wardle into a big gap.
Positives - Eorl was magnificent.Robbo busy as ever. We competed well enough.
Negatives - a bit disappointed with Wardle's effort when Bridge went over,I'm fairly sure had it been Bruno coming across as a centre he would have scragged him down before the line. Ferguson couldn't dominate at prop (tough ask) Too many mistakes altogether.
Final point,I hope Westwood gets cited by the RFL for dropping his forearm/elbow on to Fairbank's head in the 46th minute.

seems fair enough, I wonder if it will be Lunty who will get his chance to stake a claim for a place in the 17?
