Does anybody know how long Andy is out for? Reckon we could do with him back soon, especially now that Mossop has gone back to Wigan.

I might know a bit! Andy has a 2cm tear where his achilles joins the calf muscle. The consultant ordered 4 weeks complete rest on leg work, then it will be another 2 weeks until he will be fit to play. It went at the end of the Cas game so it will be 3 weeks this weekend IF everything goes to plan.
He is not a happy boy, but realises that he must not come back before it is right.

That's a right pig of an injury. That's the soleus muscle by the sound of it, tore both mine running a few years ago and incidently I saw a few physios to try and get it sorted but it was Steve Moslin at the Giants who got it right in the end. Hope Andy gets it sorted soon.

Messaged Andy on Facebook, his reply outlined slight frustration.
I'd spoken to Mr Eclair on Sunday, didn't realise Andy was even injured.
Mrs Eclair, we are all routing for him. Please would you pass on our very best wishes through your usual channels and all the best for a very speedy recovery to the lad.

This season has been a nightmare for Andy as far as injuries are concerned. Last season he played every game, and throughout his career he has been rarely injured. His dislocated finger and knee damage were impact injuries, and the achilles was probably exacerbated by him over-training and getting back too soon after the knee injury.
