never been to any of the academy games but what is the standard like ???

over here in australia we have the toyota cup which is played before every nrl game , it is basically the u20 cup and if the nrl game is live on tv the toyota game is also shown live , the standards are pretty good for the youngsters on show and it gives the youngsters a chance to play in the big stadiums in front of a crowd

why dont super league adopt this attitude to our academy league?

Cos in this country they think more about the state of the playing surface than the futre of the clubs. I'd love to see our academy games before the main event.

I used to go to alot of academy games up to last summer before I moved to uni, most of the matches were quite close. Although towards the point when I stopped going the gap was getting a bit wider as most of the players which were considered to be good enough to make it had moved on. Not been to one recently though.
I agree that they should play academy games before SL matches, that way it gets the players used to playing infront of a crowd so their nerves because of a bigger crowd wouldn't be as much of a factor when they get the chance to play in the 1st team.
