Bulls share Cheeleader coach Empty

The Bulls have pulled off another major Aussie signing – Robyn Morrison and her cheerleading expertise.

The wife of Bradford’s star second-rower Glenn is head coach of the thriving Panache Cheer School.

Having built up the business over the last two years, it now teaches more than 400 kids across the city and its districts and has been taken into over 40 schools.

Robyn is already in charge of the Huddersfield Giants cheerleaders but has now also teamed up with the Bulls to provide the elite squad and junior academy for the Bullettes during 2009.

Keen to help children get active and fit, Robyn admits the lessons have really taken off.

“We’re really proud of how it’s all gone,” she said.

“All the kids are really taking to the ideas and it’s proved a big success. “It’s great to be now involved with the Bulls and I’m really excited to give them the opportunity to perform at the Bradford games.”

Bulls general manager Ryan Duckett believes the link-up should have plenty of benefits.

“As well as enhancing our game-day experience, this partnership with Panache Cheer is a great extension of our community programme,” he said.

“We hope the link with the club’s elite cheerleading team will encourage even more children to participate in the classes that Robyn and her team provide.

“Everyone involved in the cheer classes will have the opportunity to perform at the Grattan Stadium in front of the Bulls fans and the programme is a fantastic opportunity for children to have fun and keep fit.

“The work Robyn and Glenn have done with their schools and after-schools classes has just grown and grown.

“Hopefully by linking with us we can increase that number of people taking part in what is a great way to stay fit and active.”

Morrison admits he is pleased to see his wife on board at Odsal after seeing her in Huddersfield colours.

“When we played there last year and she had the Giants pullover on on the touchline, a few of the boys gave a bit of stick!” he said.

“But she’s professional, just like I am, and is there to do a job. Now she’s doing it for the Bulls as well as Huddersfield though.

“There’s a few games that clash but she’ll be here and another instructor will do the Giants.

“Hopefully we can give them something to cheer about on the field by playing some good footy.”

Bradford council business development manager Andrew Burns said: “It is great to see so many youngsters being given this opportunity.

“Our b active campaign is all about targeting hard to reach groups such as young children and encouraging them to take part in more physical activity and the Panache classes have done this with great results.”

Anyone who wants to get involved should contact Robyn Morrison on 07876 052885.

The fact that she will be at the Bulls games and we will be geting a replacement shows where her loyalties are.

Before you know she will be pinchiong the best talent, our cheerleaders will go down hill and there will be kids missing from the streets of huddersfield who will be found at odslum. Disgraceful.

I agree that's why I posted the piece. Time we hired a new coach before the talent goes.
