PostSubject: Saints   Saints EmptyMon Jul 22, 2013 9:06 pm

Have done us a huge favor tonight, We have our fate in our own hands now ,let's hope we are finally up to it, Can't see any real reason for us not to be.
Could really do with some men back now Fielded especially, I Am real uneasy about him but hope i'm wrong.

Saints Empty

The game was streamed on line. I thought neither team looked great, good defences but on attack there were too many mistakes, dropped balls aplenty, pointless kicks (especially from St Helens). I know Wigan had players rested ahead of the cup semifinal, but on this showing I can't see why we can't beat them in August.

I thought pretty much the same as you,but the intencity was there, I thought Childs kept Wigan in the game first half and at the back end when things were swinging against them they were losing their cool a bit.
It did take a piece of individual skill from Makinson to win it for Saints but I'm not too worried about Wigan, we can generally get up for their games, It's the lesser sides that bother me, Wakey and Bradford will be desperate to spoil any party for us, but we are the masters of our own destiny.
Paul Anderson has to motivate them for every game as though it were a CC final and the players have to respond, as always it will mostly depend on how the forwards perform, thats why i am so keen to see Fielden back. Also the fans need to be there and make themselves heard, I can't go to London but i intend to be at all the others all being well.
If we can lift the shield it could go a long way to helping with crowds next year and would be some reward for K Davy, The club could stand a bit of good news in the next couple of months.
