COYG !!! I fear you are waisting your time P G, I have tried posting all sorts of topics on League in general, Sadly they attract very few replies and the one's they do are almost without exception from the same 2 or 3 posters, It's a shame really but in truth any of the forums relating to the Giants are poor shadows of any of the other Super league clubs, Have there been more than 4 or 5 posts on here this week ?. Maybe people have better things to do, It's a quiet time of year for Rugby, I think the forums in general reflect the kind of attitude to the Giants in general, That's not meant to be a criticism of anyone, people rightly do what they wish with their time but it is surely not worth keeping this forum going any longer, I would say it is more or less dead in the water. Anyway merry Christmas mate, and to anyone else who comes on here.

| I'm at work a lot at the moment but check every day to see if anything has been posted. It is a bit gutting when I put so much into setting this forum up that there's only a few regular posters. Makes me think if it was worth while. Hopefully when the new season starts we will get more visitors when I email everyone that it registered on this forum. | |

| It would be nice to have a few new people on here, but those who post are good Fartown fans who don't belittle others comments which is more than can be said for the alternative. Yes it is quiet at the moment but so is RL in general. When the friendlies get going and the season gets closer it will become more lively. | |

| The trouble is, our close season is too long. Soccer is never out of the papers and rugby union is in full flow so we take a back seat in Rugby League. I know the coaches say we play too many games, but going back 20 years we used to play at least 42 games a season. And the players were working full time, so I don`t want any of that garbage from todays coaches that our players get burnt out, they have in most cases a full week to recover, such as playing golf and other leisure persuits they fancy, whereas in the old days they had been working down the pit or in foundries and other manual jobs before turning up for training. The people at each club in charge of contacting the papers with news have to create stories for getting published, they need to dig down and sensationalise stories for the press, as any publicity is good news, be it bad or good. Also during the close season we should have tours from such as Fiji, Samoa, and other emerging nations to keep our game in the spotlight. England have a large enough squad to select from now to rotate them for internationals so the coaches don`t have to bleat about burnout before a new season starts. | |

It would be good because these South Sea Islanders are no push over, they have some big lads.

| Nadiole. I presume you meant. Just been browsing available players for Fiji, and there are quite a few high profile ones playing in the NRL who could give us a tough game. | |
