| All being well we can expect a drubbing. Don't know what's gone wrong but we get worse by the game, That today was rubbish, IMO the best team lost simply because they were the team that were up for it, The Giants looked uninterested, only Odonnell and Patrick showed any urgency, There are a few of today's team who could stand a spell in the a team, with Cudjo at the top of the list, It's when Grix is not there that you realize how poor he has become, he was awful today along with Hodgson and a few more. If thats the sort of effort they are going to put in , we will be mid table in a month, They were poor against Salford, but today was getting close to the Hunslet game standard and that's enough for me, There is absolutely nothing you can find as an excuse for them, I'll start going again when they start trying again. | |

| Catalan at home is a decent draw, but our form needs to try around sharply otherwise we won't be going any further. | |

To be honest Matt if we show the sort of commitment we did today Catalan will blow us off the park, There's a good chance Batley would have beat us if their man hadn't been sent off. Either way i wont be there to watch unless there is a 100% improvement before then.

You know, I just don't understand an attitude like this. Over more years than I care to remember I've watched Fartown suffer some right drubbings. If you think today was bad you should have seen some of the games in the late 60's and the 70's. I can remember them being right at the bottom of the league, everyone else above them. (There was only one league then, no SL, no divisions.) But I still showed up the next week hoping to see them win. Just be grateful that you get to see them play. I live so far away that I rarely get to see a game. I'd love to be able to go to games on a regular basis, but I can't. And in my book watching a poor game easily beats watching no game at all. All being well, I will be there for the home game against Hull KR, my first game since Wembley. And put money on it, whatever the results between now and then, I'll be there to cheer the team on. And even if we lose, I'll enjoy the day. Supporting is more than turning up when they're winning.

But why should fans turn up if the players can't be arsed to?

| That's just it!!!! Thing is when we were rubbish we knew we were but it wasn't thru a lack of effort, I agree fully with Gembob and Bo who will have seen their fair share of Fartown getting a hiding and more besides.
Problem is the effort isn't there at the moment and a team with as many so called star players as we have should at least be honest, enthusiastic and turn up every time they step on the field.
One team wanted to win today more than the other and sadly it wasn't us, lack of skill can't do owt about, lack of effort and intensity is an issue that needs to be dealt with.
Same goes for NB with all this leaving talk, if his mind ain't on the job for the full season then step aside!! Summed it up today for me when 4 Giants players stood gawping at each other as a Batley player scored.
If Batley had kept 13 on the field they would have been in the 5th round, hope it's the wake up call that is so desperately needed

| It may seem harsh but I honestly think a lot of the attitude issues stem from Nathan Brown. Is it coincidence that just as last season there is a drop in standards as he pimps himself around the NRL?
As for his attire, if he doesn't look professional what messa ge does that send to the players? I am not saying he needs to wear a suit, but it should be that or Giants gear like Paul Anderson.
NB is a very good coach, but he has a number of flaws which hurt him at St George and if unaddressed will I fear cost the Giants too. I hope I am wrong

Cracking post, says it all for me. And if we are supposed to turn up to see a team of well paid full time professionals struggle against a team of part timers, just so we can say we are true fans, well then i am not a true fan. I saw the team of the sixties and the Fifties for that matter, They were part time players doing a job and training at nights, and played week in week out, Now they talk about being rested after a couple of games, I would rest most of that team from yesterday on half pay till they decide that winning is as important to them as it is to the fans.
