Wolves up next Empty
PostSubject: Wolves up next   Wolves up next EmptyMon Apr 04, 2011 3:57 pm

Im hoping for a belter on Friday 1st vs 2nd. a few players from both sides who were rested the last game so this game is definately been taken seriously i think a win would make people stand up and consider us real contenders for silverware this year. our past sky games have been
wire won
cas lost
quins won
wigan lost
hkr won
Lets hope we can beat the trend...... plus i got a bet on with a colleague at work who constantly puts the giants down - £10 straight win and then £1 per point on the difference....lets hope its not a quins score against us Very Happy Come on you giants lets have a cracker infront of the sky cameras.

No Mason and no Doof (David Fa'ologo) has me a bit concerned for our chances in this one now.

Plus there is still worry over the 'E' word - our 'E'xecution out wide (even if we do get on top up front),which with the best will in the world has suffered a bit with the squad rotation.

With Mason and Fa'alogo out it's going to be a tough game, but add to that that there are rumours that Griffin will be missing too means our other forwards are really going to have to put in a massive effort on Friday.

Not sure, just heard he probably won't be fit for Friday.

If we have Mason and Griffin out we will struggle against what is one of the biggest packs in the SL.

No doubt about that.

This is not a good time for us to start losing forwards coming up to Easter. Hopefully whoever does make it to the field will give 110% - will be a tough game whoever we have available and on TV too....should be a good atmosphere.

Should be a cracker! It will be tough without mason and possibly griff but it will give the other props an opportunity to rise to the challenge and show Nathan what they can do.

19 man squad

Squad now on Giants website, no Griffin as Ponner suggested.

Not sure who I would play/leave out....

Also been confirmed Briers is out for Wire with dead leg...returning is Ben Harrison and Louie Anderson though! Brett Hodgson is in 19.

Arguably our biggest home game of the season, and we have our two starting props out, Has something misfired with the rotation system? I thought we were meant to have our best side out for the top teams, which begs the question why would Mace and Griffin" as part of a rotation system" be playing against Wakey ,knowing that Wolves were here the following game.
However we have got a big squad so the loss of three players shouldn't present too much of a problem, The lads that get a game should be busting a gut to impress, and we shall at least get some indication whether our huge squad is going to be a asset.

It also now means the ones replacing Mase, Griffin and Fa-alogo have already had a fair bit of match practice.

They have lost Briers, so that's one obstacle and playmaker outta the way. Hopefully the balance is redressed a bit....

Wonder if he might now push LO'D up to prop.
Then Faiumu to loose.Lunt and Robinson sharing the hooking duties
He could put Gilmour and Lawrence to the left flank threequarters to try and stop J Monaghan. So then maybe Kirmond to second row.

FB Grix
RW McGillvary
RC Cudjoe
LC Lawrence
LW Hodgson
SO Brown
SH Brough
LF Faiumu
RSR Ferguson
LSR Gilmour
RP O'Donnell
H Robinson
LP Crabtree

H-Lunt,
P-Raleigh
P-Patrick
P-Horne

18 Kirmond
19 Simpson
