It would be nice to think so, although realistically i dont think we have the finances to do it, Bradford also look to be making a serious effort for next year to get back to something like they were, although they have a long way to go, and their finances wont be any better than ours, if as good, I think we need another big name signing to get the season tickets ticking along, If we can increase the fan base to 10,000 we will be in the top two teams in Yorkshire for a long time, If we dont keep going forward while we have chance, we will seriously regret it.

| Bradford have apparently got 10,000 season ticket holders for next year. With the last few years they have had, you have to wonder how they have done it? How we haven't managed it?
That reason is why we will never (not for a long time) be the best team in Yorkshire.

| Bradford are selling them at £60 a pop. I wonder how many we would shift at that price? We give them away for free to under 12s and we still can't get close to that figure.
I wonder if our forced visit to the Shay will affect season ticket numbers?

That reason is why we will never (not for a long time) be the best team in Yorkshire. As i have said before, Fartown have never been one of the better supported sides, even in the palmy days of the fifties, It's a soccer town, having said that the giants have made huge gains over the last 10 years, I am hopeful that if we could just get a bit of Silverware we could poss get to the magic figure. Bradford have apparently got 10,000 pledges, not quite the same thing as paying customers, Not knocking their efforts but suppose 2,000 dont materialize and they have been doling them out at £60 a throw, they could finish up with a lot less cash than selling them at normal prices.

| Regarding Bulls pledges, wait and see when the season kicks off, l think they averaged about 7k -8k this year so give away prices should attract another 2k whether is financialy viable is another matter. l think our 3 games at Fax will cost us, personnely l see no reason for doing it, fixtures could have been re-scheduled to accomodate the relaying of the pitch, its happened in the past, both with us and,Wigan. As for being Yorkshires best team, sure this is possible, with results on the pitch, l doubt we will ever be the biggest or richest, Leeds just posted great profits, while we are always running at a loss, As Bo says we have to make hay while the sun shines, Sir Ken will not be around forever. | |
