If Cudjoe , Bo -and knowing Brett was leaving --shouldnt we have been grooming them for the "important" job???

................or maybe theres a newcomer with a good eye and golden boots just waiting to be announced!! Wink Neutral

I think Brough will take over the duty...unless PG has hit the nail on the head and we are indeed signing the man with the golden boot!! I think Brough would make a fair crack at goalkicking but he will have the kicking during the game to do as well so is it too much pressure for him?

Cudjoe can kick but I think needs to have regular practice for this if he was to be given the responsibility.

I think whoever gets the main duty of goalkicking we need a back up just to cover injuries. Kicks being missed can lose games as we know only too well.

Cudjoe, Brough, and l think Brown are all Goalkickers, l would assume that if you are a good kicker, and they are, its just a matter, of practice, to perfect your technique, and then get some consistancy
l remember when l played soccer, started off at inside forward, (10) passing was not the main priority, moved back to right half (4) passing, long ball was important
with each game l got better, ln the end l was "absolutely fantastic" Shocked Cool Goal kicking 21033

You can train to be a great kicker, but you need that special something to kick under pressure in the big games. Brett had that ability, we won't know if others have it until they are in that position. However for me I think Brough will be first choice next season, unless we sign someone who is a world class kicker.
