Giants Man of Steel - Brett Hodgson, guts, leadership and very talented.

Best SL XIV signing - Brett Hodgson, yes there are other new players this season, but to me he is a big factor in the difference between this season and last. He is closely followed by Lunt who has done surprising well.

Most improved player from last season - Keith Mason, when at Saints all those years ago, he showed bags of potential, this season he showed some real form.

Young player of the year (under 22 years old) - I think Leroy is under 22, or was when the season kicked off, so he would be my young player of the year. Had to learn a new position, but is scoring tries regularly as well as being a safe defender of kicks.

Unsung player of the year - Stephen Wild, tackles everything, often plays 80 minutes and has being doing knowing he needs operations this close season.

Best try of 2009 - Kevin Brown's kick to Cudjoe at the beginning of the second half of the semi final.

Giants Man of Steel - Keith Mason - he has been strong and consistant all season and a major aspect in the forwards

Best SL XIV signing - Shaun Lunt - He has been great considering he has stepped up from a nation league 2 side, and i cant see a problem with him to be selected for england! he can only get better and i cant wait to see how he plays next season

Most improved player from last season - Eorl Crabtree, Nathan has really brought out the best in him and i cant wait to see what hes like as he matures as a player.

Young player of the year (under 22 years old) - Michael Lawrence - He is solid in defence and has improved under Nathan Brown, He will be deffo one to watch in upcoming seasons

Unsung player of the year - Andy Raleigh - Been Solid in defence and unlucky with injuries but still has played an important part of the team.. would love to see how he fairs next season! hopefully he will be injured less and come as a stronger player

Best try of 2009 - Michael Lawrence at Hull KR, bloody awesome to see!

Giants Man of Steel - Paul Jackson. A fantastic final season with us. Runs with 3 or 4 people around him every time.

Best SL XIV signing - Even though a loan signing, Scott Moore. Had a massive impact for us.

Most improved player from last season - Eorl Crabtree. Runs like an express train.

Young player of the year (under 22 years old) - No contest, Leroy Cudjoe. Catches kicks, quick on his feet and rarely makes a hash of the job. A brilliant young prospect with a great career in front of him.

Unsung player of the year - Hard one. Can't decide betwen Andy Raleigh and Danny Kirmond. Both suffered serious injuries this season, but never ever give less than 101%.

Giants Man of Steel- Brett Hodgson, Leads by example week in week out.

Best SL XIV signing- Shaun Lunt, looks like he has been playing in super league 10 years never mind it just being his first season at SL level.

Most improved player from last season- Eorl Crabtree, Runs like there is no tomorrow!

Young player of the year (under 22 years old)- Leroy Cudjoe, Plays his heart out no matter what, a true Huddersfielder!

Unsung player of the year- Like Reidy, can't decide between Raleigh and Kirmond.

Best try of 2009- Kevin Brown's Fantastic Kick into the corner for Cudjoe to Chase and touch down in the corner at start of second half in semi final. Pure Class!

Man of Steel has to be Brett.

Giants Man of Steel:- Can only be 1 this season really, Super Brett

Best SL XIV signing:- Lunty gets this for me, If he continues as he is going then will be England no 9 in 2-3 years time.

Most improved player from last season:- Mason, Keith has been absolutely awesome for us this year now he has cut the penalties out.

Young player of the year (under 22 years old):- Leroy, great season and playing out of position, mind you he is learning from a master.

Unsung player of the year:-Wildy Works his socks off every single week, him and Mason to name 2 are unlucky to miss out on England selection when Mcarthy-Scarsbrook and Tom Briscoe are in there.

Best try of 2009:- Lawrence at Hull K.R. was a good one but Leroy's in the semi tops it purely because of the importance of the game.

Most improved player from last season Lunt --remember him playing in charity match and thinking he could make it !

He has --in one season --and such an unassuming lad as well --full marks fella!!

Young player of the year (under 22 years old) I`m gonna go for a joint between him and Leroy - cos theyve both moved up several notchers -you cant ask for more
Lawrence might well have been there or tyhere abouts but his opportunities have been more limited

Unsung player of the year--Andy Raleigh --no histrionics - just gets on with the job in hand week in - week out - week in.............. What would a team be without players like him!
