Not gonna open my big trap for this one, just hope we continue our improvement and keep this consistency going.

Looks like Mase has picked up an injury in final training so Josh Griffin has been drafted into the 19 man squad.

I felt the team played really really well today, and before you all start, by that I mean Catalans were constantly offside, spoiling, tackles off the ball, high shots/grapples and elbows flying.

Today we kept our composure all thru the team, only penalties we gave away were cos silly Bentham is bent (pinging us for holding down or offside), both teams were at it but only 1 constantly penalised.

Our defence was also awesome after a lousy start and they struggled to break us down.

We didn't give any penalties away for high shots or dirty play even under all that provocation.

Also easy to forget the end scoreline of 36-12 against a big strong unit who have been playing well of late.

Hence me saying we played well in a strange kind of way.

It was a pleasing performance concidering we seemed to have a very lightweight pack at times, They were a poor niggling side that got what they deserved (not a lot ) Thought robbo did well again today, good all round team performance.

Agree 100% Reidy and fortunately has not cost us so far, need to get the Winger/stand off sorted for next year , we need players with pace to burn to back up such as Robbo's breaks

We were fantastic today. Catalans had one plan and that was to cheat. How that game didn't end up in a free for all is beyond me. Fortunately for Bentham our players remained professional under a lot of provocation, despite Bentham ignoring or treating the dangerous play very lightly. Hopefully the RFL will punish a couple of the Catalan players and even have a word with the ref about being a soft lad.

When you think about it, we were missing Jammer, Raleigh, Fatz, Faiumu and Mason from the side. If all these are fit there are going to be some very disappointed players come semi final time. Perhaps this competition for places is helping to keep them motivated and focussed on the game in hand rather than thinking too far ahead.

We can only hope that them that do make the semi-final squad don't rest on their laurels and bugger it up Matt!
