| I am interested to know peoples reasons for their dislike of Wakey, and when this dislike of them took off. There are some posters especially on the numpty board who seem to positively hate them for some reason. There are other clubs fans who feel exactly the same about certain clubs, Saints ,Wigan. Bulls Rhino's and so on. I think i must be a bit of a one off cause i genuinely don't hate any other club, there are some i dont like as much as others but that's for things that the people who run the clubs have done rather than anything the teams on the field have done, As it happens Wakey are one of my favorites for no better reason than i have some great memories of them in the Sixties, They were a cracking side with class all over the field, Niel Fox for example would have been a star in any one of to days teams, as wood some others in those Sixties Wakey teams, Just what they have done to warrant the intense dislike of themselves by some Fartown supporters i dont know, can anyone throw any light on it. | |

| I don't hate any team really. I like Leeds and Wakey to lose though so i can have a friendly dig at my mates who support them. I wouldnt like to see any team go out of existance as we aren't the biggest sport in the world so need as many rugby League fans as we can get. I have a soft spot for Batley too. | |

| I don't hate Wakey, but I did like the rivalry when we kept on winning. Although nowadays, Wakey keep beating us and have Cas as their rivals. It's a shame we don't really have a proper rival in Super League, I say relegate Cas so we can have Wakey back and then win all the time again. | |

| I was born in Wakefield and watched them from being about 10 years old, Neil Fox was my hero when I followed them. I even played for Trinity juniors (today's equivalent of the academy), but when I was 23 I bought an Off-licence at Paddock and moved to Huddersfield to live. That is when I started watching Fartown, and have done for the past 41 years. It was circumstances (business) that caused me to change allegiances, but have never regretted it. I still used to look out for Wakey results and wish them well, but over the last few years the fans on the Wakey message boards have been very hostile and bitter towards us which has turned me against them, mainly the fans not the club. Nowt wrong with a bit of banter, but they certainly have a few morons on the terraces. | |

promote halifax that was our local derby or even keighley as for some reason these were the games in the 90's we classed as the big local derby

Good post Mate, you were lucky to watch one of the truly great sides, with regards the fans and posters you may be right in some ways, but look at some of the posters on the dark forum, I think we all have some of them.

Don`t think I have met any of the rebelrousers to talk to from the dark side. But even at the Wakefield ground the fans have changed and seem more aggressive than they used to be, possibly due to the fact that we have had the Indian sign over them for a number of years, and it is frustration surfacing.
