THE MAN -Dave Valentine captained the team --what a footballer and leader

Think "Sulli" played centre and wing and our club provided halfbacks in Ron Rylance and Little Billy Banks

Not sure if we had any forwards included (other than Val) from memory though -may have had --but hey 4 isnt bad is it ?? Smile

Only snag was that TV coverage wasnt that cracky and you only got brief highlights on Pathe at cinema and radio commentary

btw read one or two nasty comments about Ivor and the HGSA on RLFans. Can I say now I fully support Ivor and HGSA. I might not make their events. If I lived a little closer to the town centre and didn't have so many other commitments I would make one or two events. Nevertheless those who are belittling them are not on. The fans who go that extra mile, both Ivor and PG deserve our respect. Until you've gone and done more than people like these two you can't undermine. Yes offer advice, yes offer help and time, but don't play down their efforts. If the club had a thousand Ivors or PGs it would be in a much more healthy state.

I second that. If I lived neaerer to Huddersfield My Dad and I would make some of these meetings.
