| Despite the defeat I was greatly encouraged, Bentham was poor imo and more poor decisions went against us, Tommy Lee could have walked but so could Westwood. Need to see again the incident near their line when Brown was penalised, looked for all the world to me that Briers threw a punch in the tackle, or was it just my eyesight?
I think we had a lot more missing than they did, full teams out they are good but I would fancy our chances. One worry was K Brown's defence at 13, thought they targetted him pretty effectively.
As for my moment, had to be Eorls try, the man was awesome tonight absolute beast of a performance.

| Seconded.
Eorl's try was it for me. Brilliant that lad. And how many minutes did he rack up this week? Can't wait to see the stats.

| Full 80 for the big man. I agree my moment was also his try, shame we didn't get the right result to top it off for him. | |

| Think he pulled Brown for leading with elbow, also pulled Gilmour for this, missed the ones from Bridge, Morley and Westwood x 2. He also missed the 2 foot forward pass where the dog scored for them in the corner. Sly little things he did, 3 times in a row he made the Giants re-feed the scrum on their head and feed, didn't do this on the wire feed. This doesn't seem like much but what it does is;- 1-allows the opponent extra time to get defence set 2-allows the opponent to take an extra few seconds to get their breath back 3-allows the opponent to see which play is coming and to get set up for it. Very clever Mr Bent Ham. Was quick to go to video ref for a couple of our tries but never checked the onside offside kick from Briers that they scored from, if you want to be sure fine, but let's be sure both ways. A poor ref gets decisions the wrong way for both teams a bent ref does something very different, today Mr Bent Ham wasn't a poor ref, make your own conclusions from this. The man is also from Warrington, how he is allowed to ref Warrington games is beyond me, mentioned hundreds of times before but nowt ever gets done about it.

Bentham also allowed Wire to mess around loads at the play of the ball and turn us around after the tackle was complete. How many times did Wire get up to play the ball, walk 3 or 4 steps and play it from where they felt like?

| Great call FP, the fact Bentham was making us re-feed the scrum was making my blood boil. Wire new exactly what play was on.
Also, did anyone notice in the first half when Bentham blew for a Wire pen about 10 meters off their tryline he gave Briers the mark. That was the mark FROM WHICH Briers ran 5 paces before he launched his kick. He gained a good 3 meters right in front of Bentham & the ref did nothing.
Mind you, it was a straight red card for Lee imo. What was that about? We should've been down to 12 men there.

| Lee's hit was a bad one. He will almost certainly be getting a ban for that. If we had of been playing with 12 it would have made things even more tough. | |

| Yet Tony Smith was saying Bentham was letting the Giants Players get their breath back when taking time over talking to the players! he also kept saying he's lost control!!
For me I was annoyed at the fact whenever our players got tackled Morley or Bridge made sure they were on the ground with their elbows in their faces yet nothing done!!
I didn't see the Lee challenge, but it was so frustrating seeing the difference in reffing, Wire knew what was happeneing and played on it! We just lost control ourselves as there was no consistency in the reffing decisions!
Can't blame the ref for it though. But saying that the Chan No try similar had been given at Saints the other week as benefit of Doubt. Then the Try when Westwood passed miles in front again should never have stood!!
Ah well we'll be without a few players next week with injuries and suspensions but I'll be there!!

| Eorl went off at about 78 mins- I suspect so that there could be a big announcement and a cheer of appreciation! Blaming the ref is poor form- both sides were poorly disciplined- but if tommy lee had got the red he should have got the rest may not have happened. He made the giants refers the scrum because it wasn't set properly. Please stop making excuses- it just makes us look like bad losers. That was one of the most enjoyable games I've ever watched- and the only time I e left after a loss and not been bothered. It's one game. With lod, Patrick, Lunt, mason and faalogo to come back in what a season we are going to have!!! | |

The worst offence was that of Lee's and if we had been down to 12 the outcome would have probably been far worse. However Bentham was poor and we should not brush that under the carpet even if it can come across as sour grapes.

| In Lee's defence, Briers was slightly ducking down when contact was made so just bad timing. If it was perfectly timed, it would have caught the chest. Bentham let Wire get away with all sorts. He warned Bridge 3 times in a row about his tackling but that didn't stop him. With that done and in the past, lets look to next week | |

| How Bridge didn't get sin binned Bentham only knows? I think even the weakest willed ref would have given him 10 minutes at some point. | |
