| Mandy asked him tonight if he would stay, he replied and I quote:
"IT'S UP TO THEWLISS"
Can't say if cash is an issue, but I think we need to keep hold of him, personally. He is coming into his own and runs hard, thinks things out and sets others up for runs to the line. A potential Costin imho.

| Yes it is up to Thewlis if we offer him more money than Cas have. I don't know how much Cas have offered but if it's silly money then let him go. We'll miss him but he's not irreplaceable. | |

| It's not holding the club to ransom. He is entitled to ask for more money, if he didn't I bet the club wouldn't just invite him into the office and say, hey Ryan we haven't given you a pay rise for a while, how about another £10k for all your hard work. If we are not going to match Castleford, then fair enough, but I REALLY think it's a mistake to not be letting the new coach have a major say in that decision. He's the one that will get the sack if the players don't perform, yet he doesn't get the final say in which players he has, that's just C R A Z Y. | |

Nathan Brown will have watched games with Hudson in and i'm sure he will have said to Thewlis if he'd like him in the team or not, but if Thewlis is holding the purse strings and has a better idea of how much a player is worth over here then i suppose the final say does come down the Richard. There's new machinery available to make my life easier at work that performs better than the old crap we have to run but if the boss says it's too expensive then we won't buy it.

But if the company stops performing your boss could face the sack, yet it was Sharp who faced the sack, but was it his decision to release Drew and Nero and Sign Robinson and Whatuira?

and the list could go on Salary caps stop you from keeping everyone and difficult decisions have to be made, but whoever is making those decisions IMO should be the head coach, he is the one who needs to work with them and try to get the best out of the limited resources.

| Razza told me the ball was in Thewlis's court. Wants to stay, so he says. I asked about teh Castelford rumour and he said wanted to stay here but was adamant Thewlis held the key to him staying. | |

Ain't that the truth. before we condemn him for holding the club to ransom, could we maybe have someone tell us just what he is asking, My money says It's less than Gatis was getting and Hudson is a far better player, I bet also the new man will be getting more, and again will have to be pretty decent to be better than Hudson, All people on this board who would turn down the offer of a big pay rise from one of your firms competitors so you can be loyal to your company rather than do the best for yourself and family take a bow.
