| My only reservation is his age...I think he's 33 now? He definitely has 1 good season left in him imo but 2 might be stretching it a tad. Still, the lad has been very good for us on the whole and deserved at least another year. This is some good news for us to take some of the disappointment off Griff leaving (if true). | |

| Don't think gillys age is a problem, he hasn't been troubled by injuries like Wildy had, and due to squad rotation can be rested if needed. | |

The Giants giving 2 year deals to 30+ year olds is very rare, they feel this is a gamble worth taking, and I'm not surprised. He's one of them freak athletes that does not seem to slow down as he gets older. He's still ripping in on a & d ,and never seems to have a bad game. | |

| I thought Gilly was one of the few at Wigan who did O.K. He was going great guns early doors until he got that bad knock. | |

| The difference with Hodgson though was that he used to have to sit out a few training sessions cos his body wasn't recovering quick enough. Saying that though he seems to be going alright at Warrington. | |

| Hodgson is going more than alright at Wire. Gilly is a quality player and if the conditioning staff feel he is up to another quality two season who are we to disagree. Hopefully they have learnt from the Hodgson mistake. | |
