Yep, we got the win, it wasn't pretty especially in the first half. Too many wrong options, too many mistakes and no real intensity. The ref didn't help, he was whistle happy for some things and then seemed to ignore most of the messing around at the play of the ball which caused a slow and disjointed game. Despite all that we still scored some quality tries and defended our line very well when Wakey got a few repeat sets close to the line. Although Wakey had lots of passion and came with a plan to get in our faces they did seem to lack the fitness to maintain it and had virtually no creativity. It shows we've come along way, when I am not really satisfied with a 24 point winning margin.

The lads will be in for a shock on Friday. Wire will be all out to right the wrongs of the Cardiff game and their defeat to Cats. Having said that we need to prove we are a top side and put in a top class performance against Wire.

Yes the 2 points were the main thing and it gave us the chance to field some fresh legs on Friday. What bothers me is that we're not getting any fluidity within the team. Hopefully NB will now start playing what he thinks is our best 17.

^ Agree with this summary.

Yesterday proved what an important player Kev Brown is for us in terms of creativity.Up until the final quarter our main threat was from Faiumu's typically amazing footwork up the middle. We came home with a wet sail though and Mike Lawrence showed how to finish in style.

When Brown got injured last time we struggled without him. He really is a vital cog in our team.
