Ex Giant returning?

HUDDERSFIELD have been linked with former half-back Kyle Wood.

Wood, 23, joined the Giants in 2009 before signing for Wakefield last year.

Now Huddersfield want him back to play a dual role of half-back/hooker. They are also keen on speedy Salford winger Jody Broughton.

Always liked the look of him,though he got few opportunities under NB.Wick as a weasel,and he has proved at Wakefield he can play footy/put runners into gaps.As ever though small stature means he's always gonna be targeted on D.Kicking game not sure tbh.Good UK halves are very hard to come by,so could see why they are looking at him.

Assume this means Luke Robinson is getting moved on.

I don't see it means anything wrt Luke Robinson, we have all seen the disruption we go through if one of our halves is out. I don't think Kyle Wood is the missing piece of the Jigsaw in terms of a second top class half to play alongside Broughy, but he would add decent quality depth in an area we currently have none.

As Murphy has shown, if squad men deliver then Baloo will make them fixtures in the team.

I think it would mean Robbo could revert back to playing hooker with Lunt which we lack depth in hence taking Dwyer on loan from Warrington.

He's a good player to have around the club and does solve the problem of if Lunt, Robbo or Brough get injured what do we do? I bet he is not demanding megabucks either, which might leave space for more signings in other positions too.
