| How much sympathy do fellow fans have for his current predicament at St Helens? Crashed out of Challenge Cup at 4th round for first time in 18 years.Expectations at that club are so high that loss at HKR will have big repercussions.
I thought he might do well for them tbh, mainly because of his coaching of defence, but watching the 'entertainers' on attack now,it's no different than watching a struggling NB coached Fartown.

I have some sympathy for him DL in so much as he has some bad injuries to cope with,( Where we would be without Brough and Robbo i can't guess ) but as they say That's life , You can be certain of one thing though Saints wont let things get past a certain point before things are put in motion, Although the lean period has lasted a few seasons now. I Thought NBs strength was his ability to improve individuals, I didn't agree with much else , except dare i say his high opinion of Eden, Not that i rate him at Billy Slater's level....................YET

| It's true BJ,NB & Saints has been decimated with injuries, but as you say I wouldn't be surprised at all if he is given the boot in the not too distant,Saints jumped in off our early form of last year, and then watched as our season imploded,oh dear.
Reckon NB is yesterdays man ,been in this country too long,NRL coaching has moved on and left him too far behind.

Reckon NB is yesterdays man ,been in this country too long,NRL coaching has moved on and left him too far behind. If it goes Pear shaped for him he has no-one to blame but himself, He had a good corner at the Giants and was doing a good job, then he seemed to fall apart. He needs to do something at Saints or he will find it difficult to get any sort of job in Os, And as you so rightly say Saints do not normally keep their succesfull coaches too long, never mind the one's who don't do to well.

| When he coached St George in NRL,they couldn't score points,I expected him to do much better then on attack in the easier SL,but can only draw the conclusion coaching attack is his big failing.
I'm not bagging him though surprisingly,I think he is the best coach that Fartown have had since I first started watching them going back a lot of years now.

He did a top job till he started his .I'm going .No I'm staying act, from then on it all went down hill, and ended in complete fiasco as you know, It's a shame really cause i reckon he could have had a long term job, I would agree with you Him and Murphy were as good as anyone we have had for a long time.

| Yeah true, all the - will I won't I stay - just ruined things for him (and us) more importantly, remember coming away from games in Lancashire last year listening to the GMR radio on the way back, those commentators who know RL said in no unceratain terms all that that sort of talk of I might stay I might go just ruined any chances we might have had
Whereas on radio leeds they did not want to upset him,so didn't say owt controversial.

| I have absolutely no sympathy for him- they have injuries and are struggling in the halves so he allows an young up and coming half - one we enquired about off season but were told no he will figure in saints first team- to go on loan to Salford- sound familiar??? Given what some of the giants players have alluded to since he's gone I wonder just how much of these injuries are down to over training. One of ours went to see a heart specialist following problems and he said it was fatigue! We didn't have as many injured players out but we had 7 players going for surgery at end of season- and that's just those that stayed on not including brown, gilly etc. - perhaps thats down to bumpers legacy that they managed to keep going. he's continued to play players out of position not all those changes have been forced. Look at his props.... Second rows playing up again. | |

| Not sure Saints have been more decimated by injuries than others, the squad they have named today has i believe 4 missing from nrs 1-13. That is no worse that Hull, Catalans or Wigan, but they are all playing better.
I must confess I thought it would go wrong for him at Saints, but not as quickly as it seems to have done. Ultimately I stand by the opinion I formed of him at Fartown, a very good technical coach great at improving individual skills, but neither a leader of men nor a winner so not the right head coach for a club aspiring to win things.
As for sympathy, that all went the day he anounced he was off to Saints, the same day we should have dumped him in my opinion.

| Some great performances from the Giants under Brown, perhaps his abiding legacy was that he gave the players the self confidence to believe they could go to any stadium and win,(Bradford/Leeds)
Much better for him when he had an on the field general in Brett Hodgson carrying out his plans.

| Another game down the pan for Saints, I'm not sure if Widnes don't have as many injured as Saints as well. Nathan must be getting a bit twitchy now, Saints don't have a good record in this area ( even for successful coaches ) I expect if it happened he would walk away with a big Payout, but that wouldn't get him another job. Watch this space as they say. | |

I think he'll get fired this week now.

| It's not like Widnes don't have their own injured players. Saints may have some out, but things are not working at the moment over there. I think they will give him a bit longer, but unless he can get a couple of wins on the trot fairly soon his days might be numbered. | |
