Of all the Huddersfield RLFC games you've ever seen, which one is it and why? Come on trigger my memory off so I can relive some classics.

So many great games.

Beating Fax when they were top of the top division and we were in the lower division was pretty special.

Beating Hull at Old Trafford.

But the biggest for me was beating Leigh in the NFP final. After an incredible season of domination, it all came down to this one game for who went into Super League. Super Stan did what he did best and we won.

Being an incomer my first Giants game was in 2005, but since then:

Saints semi final at Warrington
Winning at Leeds for the first time in about a Million years
Beating Wire in play offs

That semi final was awesome. Probably Kev Brown's best ever game. Cudjoe's try against Wire in the play-offs was special too. Great memories.

Three games stick in my mind

The semi final win against Saints at wire that took us to wembley.

Beating Wigan in the game where 6 players were sent off.
About 1980 when we beat Featherstone at home 20 points to 19. Adrian Rushton got a last minute drop goal. Meemorable because it was the only home game we won ALL season.

I was only 10 year old and a Wakefield supporter then ( I have reformed since those early days ) but it was the last time Huddersfield won at Wembley I believe.

62 cup replay against Cas after a 4-4 draw at cas we won a midweek replay 10 -4 at Fartown, nice weather big crowd, legged it from school (Deighton) in the afternoon, me and the mates climed the wall early doors, with our spanish juice and sarnies, a real buzz on the big terrace that night, and was hooked from that moment on.

My choice is a 2nd round cup tie in (I think) 1973. Back then Fartown were terrible, at one point officially the worst team in the league, bottom of the table. We scraped a 1st round win by one point at Blackpool, then were drawn at home against Salford. Salford we riding high at that time. Their stand off was David Watkins, still IMHO the best stand off I have ever seen. Everyone wrote us off.

We got into a 5-3 lead (tries 3 points in those days) and Salford threw everything they had at us but we kept them out, the crowd right behind the players. Then with about 10 mins to go Fartown got a break down the left by the winger (Ken Senior). He was tackled just short of the line, but the ball was quickly played back to the centre of the field and Malcolm Branch went in under the posts. 10-3 and game pretty well over. Marvelous.

We did score again just before the end, and won either 13-3 or 15-3.

I think that was the first time I ever saw the team come over to the terraces and applaud the fans.

And it didn't hurt that a good friend at university was an avid Salford supporter Very Happy

I remember that too, also one of the highlights. I got hooked in the previous round, a 13-5 win at St Helens.

Can anyone remember a cup match at Fartown 1960 - 1970 that Huddersfield won 2 nill.
Pretty sure it was against a Lancashire team probably Salford or Widnes.

I can remember a 2-0 victory at home against Wakefield, but I don't think that was a cup match. There was also a 0-0 draw against Wakefield at Odsal in the semi final (1968 I think)

Without doubt for me it's the premiership final at old trafford. 16-0 no one saw it coming outside huddersfield.
