Going to the match on Sunday?

Taking any 12 or under year olds?

Then why not pop in to HGSA's disco for juniors.

Starts at 1:30 and ends at 2:30. It's in the Fantastic Media Suite [swimming pool entrance].

Juniors MUST be accompanied by an adult. [The bar will be open.]

It's FREE!

My daughter enjoyed the disco and dancing with Big G. Thanks to the HGSA for organising the event.

An honest answer please:

Very few youngsters 'danced'. Should it be repeated? How was it from a parent point of view? How could it be improved?

[The 'proper' DJ we had last year couldn't/didn't get the kids 'dancing' so we decided to save 70 and do it ourselves.]

I think it should be repeated. My daughter was a bit nervous, but did like it and went to school today telling her friends and teachers she danced with Big G.

It is difficult to get kids to dance when very few of them know each other. Games will help, but they need to be age specific. For example the younger kids will like Simon says, musical statues, pass the parcel etc..., if you do it again I would get the club to announce it at the home game before and say there will be games, prizes (sweets are best, it will help bribe one or two of the older kids too), players and of course Big G.

However I did like the event as a parent and if it was done again we will be there.

I do the kids Christmas parties at work and have been successful. I have done a course in Playwork and I know how to make balloon animals if you need any help Smile
