Did anyone go today? what did you think?

Me personally I was very disapointted with the first half but was happier with the second half.

Didnt think Fielden was anything special but then again it was his first game so should keep my mouth shut about that xD

Not really sure if Shaun Lunt should have got MOM but then again thats just me probably.


Thoughts!!

I chose not to make the 100+ mile round trip given the weather and that it was a warm up game. I have never read much into trial matches, the likes of Fielden will have been looking only to get some good contact out of the game. It certainly souns like the pack laid a decent platform and did so without O'Donnell and Ta'ai.

Hat-trick for Lunt and a brace for Leroy sounds encouraging, if those two have good seasons we will be there or thereabouts in August/September and hopefully October.

Didn't go as I was working. I was worried when we were 12-0 down that we look like we don't know how to score going on the previous hit out too. By the sounds of it once they found their feel they looked pretty good.

Good hit out. First half poor but second half forwards started to play like forwards, Kopczak looked good and will go well as did Ferres who was probably our best forward. The forwards got on top and we ran away with it second half nilling them.

Broughy bit too quiet for me overall, Grix did ok at fullback and saved a certain try but looked lost at times with ball in hand on attack.

Glad to see Lunty back, overall good game to blow the cobwebs away.
