Don't know what to expect on Sunday, I just hope the team that turns out want to play for the club. Kev Brown is out /gone and I hope the team is picked on merit, Gilmore should be rested now, his recent performances have been dire and his mind seems to be elsewhere. Let's start planning for next season, any hopes I had for this year have all gone down the pan.

This season now is all about trying to hold onto fans, It could be a difficult game, we have the players to beat them but how are they going to turn up, have they also given up the season or will they be up for it. If they have had a big part in the removal of NB they should be wanting to show they got it right and we should be able to expect a big effort at least.

Shocking performance today. Lack of effort, desire & pride. What is worse is that Trinity are garbage & they wiped the floor with us. I don't mind losing but I cannot stomach a team that doesn't try or even care.

I am not given over to knee-jerk reactions. This isn't a snap decision but a considered view when I say the way we are "performing" now I can't see us winning again this season.

If we couldn't beat Trinity then God help us tbh, because as I said Wakefield were woeful & we made them look like Queensland we were so bad.

We started fine, but we can't defend kicks and then heads started to go down and by the end nothing was going right, we were dropping off tackles, not moving up. Confidence is at an all time low. How does Anderson pick them up? What can turn us around?

Defence aroun the play the ball is shocking, absolute rubbish, have a look how much ground teams gain against us there. Grix is woeful at fullback and couldn't catch a cold at the moment.
Forwards are like a set of ballet dancers, watcha bit of NRL and get some mongrel inside you, too much matey matey stuff, let's go out to hurt teams and get ontop from the off.
Shockingly poor today against a poor Wakefield side and sorry to say best team won.
Need to get shut of about 8-10 players who are just not good enough, need a standoff to compliment Broughy and need some big nasty, hard, aggressive forwards that enjoy hurting people.

That was to put It's best face on it shambolic, and the worst 60 minutes I've seen for a long time, Fish floundering about in a dry barrel comes to mind, Greg Eden looked as though he would wet himself every time the ball came near him, 75% of game in our half , and most of that in our 22, That was enough to finish me for the rest of the season. And i gave up a game of Golf on one of the few sunny days we have had to watch tripe like that, wont happen again this season.

Would love to stay stick with em Bo, but after the amount of years you've watched em and after the shambolic performances they are turning out all I'm gonna say is what time do we Tee off?

Glad I had to miss it gang. Listened on Radio Leeds and there was an air of disbelief that we were that bad in the 2nd half.
Your comments on here pretty much say it all.

Who could come in for the current players. I think we do need some changes just to at least put some enthusiasm back into the side.

PA is not the man for the job he was part of whats been happening at the club he should have gone with NB,how many haves hookers did we have again today you carnt just get rid of half a problem, the players looked clueless and short on confidence today whats needed is strong man management and god coaching. The club as a lot to answer for by giving him the job i hope i am proved wrong but i wont hold my breath.we should have had a new rudder to navigate our rudderless ship.

I do worry that Anderson will not/can not fix the problems, but he is only a few days into his new role, so I think we can give him a bit more time before deciding that, but unless performances and results start to change this season I would look at the possibility of a clean slate for next season.

Even though he has been Brown's second in command the last few years, it's a big task managing a top flight club as your first managerial post. All we can do is touch wood and hope all goes well.

Aint gonna judge Anderson till he has had at least the rest of this season and all next season and possibly the one after that!!. Brown had 4 years and we have jack sh1t to show for that so give the bloke a chance.

I agree with that, Anderson may prove to be the wrong man, i don't know, what i do know is that quite a few of the players are definitely the wrong men. I am a big fan of Eden but he looked like a rabbit in the headlights today, His confidence is completely shot, Scott Grix who's best position has always been fullback (where ever he has played ) never been the best in the league true, but now looks panic struck, The whole B***** team are a shambles. and we get told we don't deserve a team because we don't trail away to watch trash like that.

I actually thought we started ok and deserved to be further ahead at half time. There was some bad luck and some poor refereeing calls, there was enough evidence in the first 50 minutes to show our players have far more potential than Wakey's... BUT The subsequent surrender was both embarrassing and shambolic, worryingly both Fa'alogo and Patrick really looked like they could not be bothered.

I really felt the effort from those two in particular was shocking, that has a draining effect on others, but it does raise the question about splits amongst the players? I have no knowledge of such, just trying to rationalise such lack of effort.

A few selection issues also:

Grix cannot play full back at the moment, his confidence has gone and even an ordinary high ball is an automatic repeat set, if not more (albeit Danny Kirmond was yards in front of the kicker at Wakey's second try)

Gilmour, can no longer play centre, completely stops all attacks down that side.

Robbo, should not be at scrum half, no kicking game which makes Danny Brough easier to target and weakens the team both at hooker and in the halves. I would go back to Brough at 7 and Grix at 6, but if we are struggling for a half in the short term put Scott Moore there, he has a kicking game and Robbo is the more effective attacking hooker.

Props, a real problem here as we only have two and I actually thought both Eorl and Mason did ok yesterday, but when they go off we get bullied. as stated above I don't know what is going on with Fa'alogo & Patrick, but they were both shocking, but in fairness they are not real props.

No way we should have lost this one after Eorl went under the sticks to make it 14 - 6,at that point thought they would have wanted to go on and put Wakefield to the sword, but the way we have been 'defending' lately I was not that surprised at the final outcome.Basically we have stopped even trying to control the ruck area,we lose the first up contact,we lose the ground, players just left lying in the ruck area, and no real urgency to get up into marker, and if they do get into marker just amble back to the line, not busting a gut to lock up the gap between the ruck and the slide. It was evident too in the semi final. Not to mention the weak edge defence,a clear example being how Lauititi made that easy line bend & offload for the Mathers try.

Must though give credit to the way Smith controlled the game for Wakefield though, the type of playmaking skills we badly lack.

Larne's defence has always been ropey,Doof seems like he wants to be anywhere else than here at our club just now.I too am not sure what's gone wrong there.Maybe he won't put it in until he sees the rest of 'em do the same (who knows)
