Link to story

Is Brown right? Is he putting too much pressure on such a young player?

He is definitely exciting and has the potential to be a top Super League player, but I do think Nathan is getting a bit carried away, he only has 10 super league appearances and 8 with us. Admittedly I didn't see his performance last night and by all reports it was a great performance, so maybe Nathan is right to praise him so highly.

He was superb last night, looked the real deal, Grix & Chan also terrific and as for Eorl's break.... Overall an excellent show by all, but yes Eden was terrific

High praise indeed. He has the potential to be another Billy the Kid, if he keeps progressing, now just needs to show some consistency.

He loves to counter attack, when he gets the ball his first instinct is to take on the line,he can step at full pace, much like Slater.

Any FB can miss a tackle or spill a bomb, but his brain explosion last week at HKR was a bad 'un,as I say he loves to counter attack, but sometimes you have got to take the tackle if there is too much defence coming at you.No doubt we won't see that type of foul up again from him. He's only at the start of hopefully a long career with us.

He doesn't let any mistake affect him mentally, that's a good sign.

There was 1 occasion last night when he looked like he could have scored himself after a break but was looking for runners, who unfortunately couldn't get up in support quick enough.

Really exciting young talent,a very shrewd move by NB to recruit him. We've been blessed with some great FB's in recent years,Paul Reilly,Brett H,Grixy & now Greg.

Nathan or someone at the club certainly spotted something in Eden whilst at Cas. I know Cas wanted to keep him, but we got his signature and now he is really hitting the highs. If Murphy had been fit from day one I wonder if Eden's progress would still have happened?

Hoping a new contract is now in the offing for this kid.

Need to get him on a long term deal ASAP. Was hoping would have been done and dusted by now after thewlis comments over the Lunt deal last week.

Nathan`s predictions for Greg Eden were correct IMO. Very similar actions, granted he makes the odd howler, but so does Billy Slater.

He doesn't have Slater's pace, but not too many do.
