Still a bit of a shock this (though it was on the cards from most reports) when all we heard was how anxious NB was to move back home to Aus during his tenure at ours.Suppose he's allowed to change his mind.Remember Sir Ken saying he was on a real good wedge with us,so Saints must have made him a financial offer he couldn't refuse.

Just one thing bugs me,all this bulling up of Saints by NB,Saints great club, great juniors, stadium blah blah blah.Couldn't he have left all that stuff 'til when he moves over there. We are in competition with loving Saints this year,we should not be trying to build their confidence. They've been on a downer (until last couple of weeks )we should be trying to keep them down in the dumps as it's one less threat to our own chances.

Do I blame him for going - Not at all. He is doing what most of us in his position would, afterall the wage is what pays the bills. Not loyalty.
But if ever there was definitive proof that Australian coaches are here for the money and ride this is it.

I had heard that he would not coach any other SL club, but as the saying goes 'money talks and bullsh!t walks'

I don't begrudge him going honestly,he's a right to change his mind, and he's seeing out this season with us.

From a footballing pov for next year, absolutely no doubt Paul Anderson knows his onions when it comes to RL,but will he be able spot the precocious young talent, the likes of Patrick,Wardle,Eden etc and be able to nurture it in the way NB has done.Time will tell on that.
