On the back of the news that Keith Mason is set to return to full team duties after recovering from a troublesome knee injury and David Fa’alogo made his long awaited return from back surgery against the Castleford Tigers, Luke O’Donnell has trained with the squad for the first time today since his knee injury.
O’Donnell suffered cruciate knee ligament damage against St Helens in August of last year which ruled the former Australian international out for the rest of the 2011 campaign undergoing surgery to rectify the injury. Luke could now be back in contention for the Easter fixtures against the Salford City Reds and Hull FC.
The return will be a welcome one for the Huddersfield Giants and the Head Coach with Nathan Brown knowing that his pack will soon be back in a strong position:
“To know that we will have three experienced players like this fully fit again and ready to fire is an exciting prospect.”
