As all pulled out of the Knights squad and we only have Cudjoe in the elite squad, we will surely be one of the losers in this move. However I do agree with it. The National team should be the most important thing and if you produce players capable of playing for England then to allow a bit for space in the cap for that is fair enough.

I'd rather encourage all teams to produce home grown because not every side can have players in the knights and full squad, Something like half the wage of homegrown in the 1st team squad, not on the cap. This way every team is encouraged to build from the ground up so to speak, and hopefully the money saved can either be ploughed back into the juniors or be used to pay for current international top quality overseas signings, to aid the development of homegrown juniors

Like it. Why not have both? We want teams to have strong academies that eventually lead to England internationals.
