Said he would have been quite happy to stay.As ever it's down to money / length of contract.Hope we aren't regretting it this time next year. What's done is done though now.

Same ole ain't it DL? When it comes down to money, they just won't/can't pay.

Seems that way mate,2 years maximum would have been my call, but if someone else offers him 3 then not much left to say.

I know that we can't keep players forever, but as a club, we have this habit of talented players leaving, but they flick a switch when they move on and perform elsewhere. 3 players who we have lost performed for us anyway and we have lost them.
Just how stupid are our management?

It's a difficult balancing act for the club though mate.He had 5 good years did Griffin, maybe it was time for him to move on,he's got his strengths but he has also got his weaknesses imo.

He's better carrying the football than on defence imo reidy, but when he's in the mood he can be as tough as anyone on defence.Been top notch for us this year though in general, one of the main reasons we were top 4.

Was great last year and started like an international prop this year, but faded badly and seemed to lose interest. I work with a lad who coached him as a junior, reckoned he has an attitude. By all accounts he said Thewlis was lying about the reason he was leaving.

It's all about if he can be bothered on defence.

I wouldn't be inclined to believe Thewlis usually, but on this I can..... Wink
