If we carry on like we did Sunday, then they've already effectively got one!

| A bye would be the more difficult tie for them on current form!!!!
Would play the following:-
Grix Hodgson Cudjoe Lawrence Mcgilvery Brough Wood Mason Robbo Griffin Fa'alogo Gilmour O'Donnell
Subs Fooey Crabtree Patrick Ferguson
And I would send them out with their arses kicked and tell em not to come back in at halftime unless they have put 20 points past Cas and stuck Rangi Chase's head so far up his arse that he was running round and round in circles!!!!!

| Grix Hodgson Wardle Lawrence McGilvery Cudjoe Brough Mason Fooey Griffin RALEIGH CRABTREE Gilmour
Subs Fa'alogo O'Donnell Patrick Robinson
I have been saying it that long (I had milk teeth when I started) That Raleigh and Crabtree are our two best second row forwards and Fa'alogo and patrick as props. O'Donnell to come on with devastating effect later in the game , but if he is injured I'd have Ferguson.

not looking good at the mo! Will they have to fight for a place when they regain fitness or is it one rule for one and not for another.

| Am I missing something with Bruno in the 2nd row? I only coach u12's at the moment, have only coached for 5 years, I am not Australian and I am only level 1 certified but I can see that Bruno is as far from a 2nd rower you could possibly get, bar Jonny Vegas. | |

course you are !!! very imfair on that Vegas lad !! Have you seen him at scrum half!!!?? you arent shuffling the cards right!! seriously though fp my point is that lads who have spent their formative years in a certain position wont feel at home in a totally different one overnight and in my opinion its unfair to expect them to do it at superleague level --and theres andy raleigh twiddling his thumbs in the stand --beats me ! Player of the year to cleaner in one foul swoop! i am losing the faith a little im afraid despite Old School chastising me for "lack of positivity "!!! so hopefully me and you will both be proved wrong come sunday evening heh??

| Bruno is out of his depth in the pack...way too light for my liking. That was shown mercilessly at Wire & Northern. He did O.K. in back row v Crusaders but their pack was well beaten that day. It is a real weakness to put him there imo and is playing into the opposing pack's hands. I just don't get it...the boy is a decent centre so why not stick him back in the three quarters?
And can somebody please tell me what the hell is going on re: Andy Raleigh?? Doof out, O'Donnell out, Lunt out, Brown out and it still doesn't look like he's getting a game! That's if Jools' team sheet is correct, and it usually is.
Bruno taking Raleigh's place in the pack is madness imo. I have no idea what the problem is but to me it's starting to look like a vendetta. If someone can explain to me why you would pick a player who has had 3 shots at an unfamiliar position and failed badly twice for a Cup QF and leave a good solid defensive backrower to collect the towels in the shed then I'm all ears. I honestly don't get it. And don't get me wrong, I like Bruno alot, but the lad's a three quarter.

Might be harsh but true though. as others have rightly pointed out you generally make the massive step of moving from being a back to a forward in junior RL or at a push a big back who is getting a bit long in the tooth and wants to prolong their career as I can imagine Senior will do. But not a young kid who is thrown in at SL level in a position completely alien to him when we have 100's of perfectly good 2nd rowers sat twiddling their thumbs!! I really feel sorry for Bruno cos it definately isn't him who decided he was a 2nd rower!! Cant afford to pussyfoot about when you are wanting to win sommert just to pretend everything is ok so we dont critisise NB or the team. This is the business end of the season and absolutely everything needs to be spot on from here on inwards, last few weeks this hasn't been the case.

| Except gilly who doesn't fall into either the junior or long in the tooth switching category- no one bats an eyelid when he switched between the two - and he's the one mentoring Bruno. Brunos defense is solid- but he doesn't really throw the winning pass to the winger too often, maybe that's the reason browny feels he'd be better at 2nd row. I like andy raleigh and dont understand why he isnt playing but we have to remember Brown sees how all these players perform in training and knows about their fitness levels also - that may have a lot more to do with the thumb twiddling. | |

| Andy is consistently one of the fittest at the club, and faster than most. All this has been proven in testing. Leaving him out is madness. A home town player who 3 years ago won player of the year, players player, top tackler etc whilst playing at 2nd row, now has to watch from the sidelines. Poor decision making, especially when our pack has been out-muscled and so many are injured. | |

| I`m in agreement with that 100%- and find it totally confusing!
I would think that in an important match like this someone who`s fit -and has played in this role for several years now would be the preferred option
Am impressed with Lawrence -nothing against him but he "learned his trade " at centre and wont find the switch natural to him IMO

| Whoever is in the team or wherever they play, If they want it bad enough, they will turn up and get stuck in, The forwards need to stop letting the likes of McGilvray and Hodgson do their work for them, It's one thing to give the forwards a breather now and then, It's another thing altogether to be doing it from the first sett. We have a big enough pack (even without Fa-alogo and Odonnell ) to get the upper hand, get the line speed up and knock them down, rather than 3 steps and wait for them to hit us, If the pack can do that (and we have seen them do it before this season ) then we wont have to worry too much about Chase and Orr, Let the Cas forwards get on top and they will have a field day. Surely they will have watched the Bradford game and will realise what they need to do, Also they have beaton Cas quite recently so that should give them a lot of confidence. I wish them luck, a lot is at stake on this game, but i think it will be more about attitude than luck, I hope they watch the Cardiff game Sat night ,that should help. | |
