| Another loss against a team we should have wiped out.
I wasn't there so can't comment, but final score was 13 - 12 to Catalans.

| Disappointed -especially for all the faithful who made the trip down to France!
Its a long way to go for a loss -and especially so close!

| Sitting nursing a beer in my hotel, we were poor, but could, should still have won. When six points up in a tight match with a kickable penalty - TAKE THE TWO, if we had we would have won instead we knock on tackle two and let catalans back in the game. Game management - Nathans fault end of story

To be honest Gem i never thought that game was going to be anything but difficult, but like you i am very disappointed , Squad wise we should have been far to strong, we obviously weren't, Challenge cup aside we have some difficult games coming up now and it would have been better to hit them on a high rather than the sort of form we are in now, If we don't get back to some sort of form we could tumble down the league faster than a Rat up a drainpipe. I thought we were supposed to have a squad strong enough to have the players fighting for a starting spot, So much for dropping all the failures in Wales. Not having been there, i don't know how they played individually, but they obviously didn't play well enough collectively again.

| Last season we had all the stuff about Brown leaving that coincided with a dip in form, now we have Brown coming out of contract and being linked with various NRL clubs and a dip in form. Well only about another 21 days to go and then it should be sorted. | |

| From the TV replay.
The McGillvary try that was chalked off was very unlucky for us.Could have got the benefit easy on that. That would have been the game.Assume it was a knock on at the strip but the ball looked to travel back. The replay seems to show Cudjoe was not quite touching the Cats player so it was a 1 on 1 strip.
We seemed to be getting outgunned up front, this was mentioned by the comms at start of second half, not until the bench packmen came on did we get good go forward.
We made uncharacteristic handling errors bringing the ball away from our 20.
Our goal line defence was not up to the job, conceded two tries from it.
Kicking game not great, they are putting pressure on Brough now.
Are these enough excuses.
From the highlights we didn't seem to have much good field position throughout.

So basically we were outplayed? Not sure we were completely outplayed.Losing to a single dg suggests it was an even contest. We put two good tries on ourselves and were ahead for a long period. Catalans deserve credit, their forwards matched ours blow for blow, and not many have done that this time. The two French forwards from the interchange Baitieri & Simon showed up well.
