Can't whinge about that.

I think that is as good as we get and few teams (if any) will beat us when we put in a perofrmabce like that.

Top of the league Smile

Awesome.

Listened to the second half via Radio Leeds over the Internet. Great win. I hope no one in the building could hear me when McGilvary scored his try. Smile

(It's lunchtime here, so I'm at work.)

How many teams are going to beat Warrington twice this season, and how many are going to prevent them scoring for the entire second half? Not many.

A week of celebrations

then hopefully another week after we beat Leeds

I thought there were a lot more joining in the clapping and singing last night....love those caboodle clap banners...saved my hands from being too bruised and sore and they make plenty noise too. Like how they were handing them to Wire fans - our sponsors logo and Try/No Try in claret and gold Very Happy

Too right! If he'd have kept his arm in the same position as when it first hit the ground then he wouldn't have crossed the line. Not sure why we have video refs when they can't get it right looking at it a few times. Even Eddie and Stevo thought it was no try!

On the TV it was saying it had been given because he was still moving. He didn't stop and then make a conscious move to extend his arm. It was deemed to be 2 movements, but the tackle wasn't complete.

Great performance by all. Fowards dominated one of the top packs in the league and that is without Griff, Mase and Doof. Half backs were as creative as they have been all season and the backs defended the edges superbly and finished off moves well.

Yes that was very impressive , I have to admit i wasn't all that confident before the game, but i was after 10 minutes. The whole team stepped up for that game, especially the pack. I only have one criticism which seems churlish after a win like that , but Simson does not look up to the job at all. Loads of noise in the J Smiths stand, players must have appreciated that, To be honest i think we would probably have beaton any side last night. Also very disappointed to see Morley putting in shots like that ,at this stage in his career.

Agree Bo, though he did a good break he was pretty non existent for the rest of the game and missed a couple of tackles. Out on the wing he is cover for tries out wide and was far too slow getting to Brett Hodgson, he seems to be better than Ive seen previously. But when you compare him to the likes of Mcgilvary he seems pretty poor and at the moment is definitely the weak link in the team.

Might be just short on confidence and need a bit more time to settle in, But to be honest standing back and giving players free catches is just not on, Hodgsons first try came from exactly that last night, and he still kept on doing it, However N Brown would see it just as well as us.

Bang on,it was a very special performance, but N Brown got the gameplan exactly right working the edges early and it paid off.Warrington got frustrated ,they thought they could deal with our pack minus the three big hitters but it didn't go to plan.Westwood looked tired early,no strength to commit fouls,Morley looks like he needs to retire and Wood with the outstanding stats got contained.

Got to say this, from some on here saying D Hodgson was the scapegoat, now it's transfered to Simpson being the scapegoat.

Scapegoat? Are we not allowed to comment on a players performance unless it is a positive comment?

Don't really know if that is aimed at me, but i thought he was very suspect , I thought standing back and giving Monahan free catches was a poor strategy, i also said he probably needs more time to settle in, That is my opinion for what it's worth, if that qualifies as making him a scapegoat then i plead guilty.
I have also said in the past that D Hodgson has lost a lot of his pace, That is not a opinion, It is a fact, but again it doesn't signify i am making him a scapegoat, I am just saying what i think, I thought that's what the forum was for.

Hodgy & Simpson are as bad as each other on the bomb diffusal right now.Simpson has got a lot to do to convince fans he is the real deal I admit that, but he's getting shoved on the wing imo just to get him used to English conditions.

Can't help feeling that D Hodgson is now yesterday's man,N Brown is ruthless when it comes to axeing players who are only just past their sell by date.

N Brown, not a god as a coach but is getting very close to it.How do we explain beating Warrington fairly easy without our 3 hardest forwards.

Just that Simpson has been hammered for his poor displays, but D Hodgson has not shown good form but is getting excused.

Well everyone sees the game differently i suppose, or perhaps sometimes tend to see only what they want to see. Bret Hodgson looked anything but good in his first few games for us, but he had class and it came out. Maybe Simson will be the same.

D Hodgson has been a very good player ,but is getting past Super league standard IMHO, Such is the game today that you can't really afford a weak link anywhere, but i do trust N Brown, although i reserve the right to criticize him when he gets it wrong like Salford last year for instance, ON the other hand i have been very uneasy about the extent of his rotating, Last night proved just how wrong i was .

To be honest Simpson and Hodgson are knack all to our long term chances. Both do nowt much at all, just hope they don't MESS (we know what you meant, but please tone it down. Reidy) it up down their side of the field and cost us the game.

The real action go's on down the other side of the field,Brown/Cudjoe/McGillvary.

Guys & Girls, we have been very fortunate that www.giants.co.nr has been given an exclusive on Andy Raleigh's injury. Andy has himself, given the ok for the following to be published:

"Andy got a finger deep into the eye socket.
He has a tear in the iris and cornea, but the retina is ok. Some bleeding into the eye also. He has 3 lots of drops and 2 types of ointment! He saw a specialist from Manchester last night & again this morning at Halifax, when the eye was scanned.
His vision isn't great, but is gradually improving. He has to rest for 5 days to avoid any further bleeding. He sees the consultant at Hudds on Monday (who also went to see him this morning in Halifax) so he'll be able to tell if there is improvement. Fingers crossed!! "

Many thanks Andy and the contributor Wink for that.

Get well soon mate!
